Community Support Corps Member

About the role

City Year Corps is recruiting members for a service year tutoring and mentoring students in Detroit schools. You'll work alongside teachers providing one-on-one and small-group support, and grow enormously along the way. Corps members receive a living stipend plus a $6,000 education award and student loan forbearance during service.

What you'll do

• Tutor students in small groups and one-on-one
• Support classroom routines and attendance outreach
• Help plan and run after-school activities

What we're looking for

• Commitment to a full service year
• Patience and mentorship mindset with students
• 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
